Jeju City said it held its first joint TV home shopping sale with Uiseong-gun on Jan. 20 through NS Home Shopping, offering Jeju Redhyang citrus and Uiseong apples. The broadcast marked the first official sales initiative following a sales and promotion cooperation agreement signed between the two local governments in December.
The program presented a regional partnership model in which Jeju Redhyang and Uiseong apples were bundled as a single set, supporting direct sales and interregional cooperation.
During the broadcast, a package consisting of 2.5 kilograms of premium Jeju Redhyang and 2.5 kilograms of top-grade Uiseong apples was offered to consumers nationwide. All products were sorted, packaged, and shipped through local agricultural distribution centers to maintain consistent quality.
Jeju City plans to expand additional home shopping broadcasts and online sales, further developing direct-to-consumer distribution channels while supporting stable farm income and price stability.
