The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on Jan. 21 it appointed K-pop girl group KiiiKiii as an ambassador for Seoul Colors to raise public awareness and expand global outreach for the “Seoul Colors and Seoul Lights” brand. The group will help present the city’s color identity in an accessible way and highlight Seoul’s dynamic image through major public spaces and digital content.
Each year, Seoul selects its “Seoul Colors and Seoul Lights” based on citizen feedback and social trends, applying them across urban spaces, cultural events, and public-private partnerships. The 2026 Seoul Color, “Morning Yellow,” draws inspiration from the rising morning sun and reflects vitality, the value most strongly identified in a citywide survey.
KiiiKiii is a five-member K-pop girl group under Starship Entertainment, known for its bright and refreshing concept. The group’s positive image aligns with the energetic and emotional identity Seoul aims to convey through its color branding, leading to its selection as the official ambassador.
The city plans to collaborate with KiiiKiii to produce short-form videos and image content at major landmarks where Seoul Lights installations are featured. The content will be released through official online channels and displayed on city media platforms, including the Gwanghwamun Free Media Zone, to further increase public visibility.
Through the partnership, Seoul aims to strengthen its digital outreach linked to popular culture and continue developing Seoul Colors as a long-term urban branding asset.
