The Oido Fishing Village Experience Center in Siheung opened on March 1 and will operate its seasonal mudflat experience program through November 30.
Siheung City and the Oido Fishing Village Association are offering hands-on mudflat activities for families and visitors looking to enjoy an outdoor coastal experience this spring and beyond.
Participation fees are 10,000 won for adults and 7,000 won for children. The fee includes rental of rubber boots for walking on the mudflat, a basket for collecting shellfish, and a Homi, a traditional Korean hand tool used for digging clams. Washing facilities and shower rooms are also available for visitor convenience.
The program runs through November. Activities typically begin around 9 a.m. and may continue until as late as 6 p.m., depending on tidal conditions. Because operating hours vary daily according to the tides, visitors are advised to check the official website before visiting.
