Choansan Hydrangea Garden

Choansan Hydrangea Garden, located in Wolgye-dong in Nowon-gu, is a hydrangea walkway built along the gentle slopes of Choansan. In early summer, clusters of colorful hydrangeas line the hills and paths, creating a small, peaceful place to enjoy seasonal blooms close to home.

As I entered the garden, a well-kept walkway and neatly arranged pine landscaping welcomed me. Hydrangea beds continued up the gradual hill, and small photo spots placed throughout the trail added a bright, cheerful tone from the very beginning.

A little further along, a large hydrangea-themed sculpture came into view. A tree-shaped structure covered in pink blossoms, paired with playful decorative pieces, created one of the garden’s most vibrant corners.

Among the hydrangeas stood a deer-shaped sculpture that also served as a chair. Its colorful design made it easy to spot, and many visitors stopped here to sit and take photos.

The swan sculptures placed on both sides of the stairway were especially popular. This area was often crowded with people waiting to take pictures with the hydrangeas.

At the center of the garden, a small pond had been created. Clear water, stone pathways, and a wooden waterwheel came together to form a charming, miniature garden scene.

Walking along the hillside, I came across clusters of white hydrangeas in full bloom. Their soft tones and rounded blossoms reflected the early-summer sunlight, giving the scene a refreshing and cool feeling.

Next to them were layers of pale pink hydrangeas. Their gentle colors added a soft yet bright touch, making the area a perfect spot for photos.

From the top of the hill, the entire garden spread out below. Residential buildings framed the background, giving the space the familiar, peaceful feeling of a neighborhood park.

Along the pathway, hydrangeas of various colors appeared one after another, offering new scenery with every step. The trail continued under the shade of old trees, creating an even more relaxed atmosphere.

From the deck pathway overlooking the pond, the quiet charm of Choansan Hydrangea Garden could be felt all at once. Being able to enjoy such a variety of hydrangeas and landscaped views so close to the neighborhood is what makes this place special. Even a brief walk here lightens the mood—a gentle, familiar kind of stroll that feels comforting and close to home.
